The client wished to convert a complex of unused agricultural buildings into residential dwellings.

The Challenge

The cluster of buildings, forming a local heritage asset, are located on the edge of a village and required a sensitive design solution to integrate the proposal into a rural village setting.

The Solution

The landscape design was intrinsic to creating a sympathetic and sustainable environment. This was achieved by understanding the way residents will use the space, along with the careful composition of the layout and choice of materials. It was important to work and collaborate with the client, the planning advisor and the local planning authority to achieve a successful result.
